Vantage to Provide
Technology Consulting Services for Two CSU Channel Islands
Projects
(Camarillo, CA – September 2007) Vantage
is to provide architectural design support and structured
cabling designs for two projects for California State University
Channel Islands. The first project is the renovation and conversion
of existing first floor space in the eastern end of Manzanita
Hall into a nursing simulation lab. The second project is
the development of North Hall, which includes approximately
37,000 square feet of new construction and existing building
renovation.
Vantage to Help Duke University to Plan for
the Future of Teaching and Learning Technologies
(Durham, NC - June 2007) Duke University is
constructing an experimental Teaching and Learning Center
as part of the newly renovated Perkins Library. Vantage will
provide Architectural and Engineering planning support to
the architects Shepley Bulfinch Richardson and Abbott for
the design and integration of network based educational technology
systems into the design. The deliverables include drawings
and specifications which will be the basis of the construction
documents set and systems drawings and specifications to define
functional requirements and obtain competitive pricing.
The work will be complete in August 2008.
Vantage Providing Technology Planning Components
for the Boston Central Library Master Plan
(Boston, MA - May 2007) Boston Central Library’s
historic McKim Building is currently undergoing major restoration
work and Vantage has been selected to develop master plan
and program requirements for technology-related facilities
and infrastructure for Phase IID of the project.
Vantage will work with the planning team, the
architects Pfeiffer Partners, the library operational staff
and the library technology staff to investigate existing conditions,
to envision technology appropriate to the future of the library
and to provide input to help shape the renovation master plan.
Vantage Contributes Technology Component
to the Program and Conceptual Design of Georgia Tech’s
Innovative Learning Resources Center
(Atlanta, GA – April 2007) Vantage is
to provide technology consulting services to the Georgia Institute
of Technology during the program and conceptual design stages
of an Innovative Learning Resources Center (ILRC). The ILRC
will serve as the technology driven nexus of experiential
learning and undergraduate academic life on campus and will
become the physical embodiment of Georgia Tech’s vision
for enhancing undergraduate education.
The ILRC will be about 250,000 gross square
feet. The scope of the project also includes an investigation
of and detailed space programming for the highest-and-best
use of the two existing Main Library buildings (which occupy
approx. 230,000 gross square feet adjacent to the proposed
ILRC site) Funding for the project is from the State of Georgia
and private sources..
Vantage’s input will integrate advanced
thinking about the role technology in teaching and learning
into the building program and concepts. Vantage will assist
in defining Georgia Tech’s approach to technology and
help envision the future of technology; to help describe and
define new technology driven facility/room types; and to identify
and elaborate on technology related innovation opportunities
presented by Georgia Tech’s vision for the project.
The final program will be presented to Georgia Tech in December
2007.

( Scottsdale, AZ - January 2007) One Scottsdale

Victory Media Network Declared One of “2007’s
12 Most Intriguing New Things”

(Dallas, TX - January 2007) The Victory Media
Network has been declared one of “2007’s 12 Most
Intriguing New Things” by online destination review
guide Sixnewthings.com. Due to open on March 23rd, 2007, the
Victory Media Network will use 11 high-definition video screens,
mounted on movable tracks, to display works of digital art,
as well as films, TV broadcasts and sporting events, and will
be the first large-scale, outdoor digital arts gallery in
the world. Vantage has provided strategic and technical services
to this project.

Geoffrey Tritsch Joins Vantage in Boston
(Cambridge, MA - January 2007) Vantage
Technology Consulting Group is pleased to welcome Geoffrey
Tritsch to our team in the role of Senior Consultant, as of
January 1st, 2007. Geoff is
based in our office in Boston, Massachusetts.
Geoff has been in the communications industry
for over 35 years and an independent consultant specializing
in higher education and healthcare since 1980. He was the
Founder and President of Compass Consulting International,
Inc. After a brief stint with another consulting firm, Geoff
has brought Compass’ skills, tools, proven methodologies,
and clients to Vantage. He is recognized as one of the foremost
consultants in the higher education marketplace specializing
in technology planning, cost analysis, business continuity
planning, and the convergence of voice, data and video technologies
in support of administrative functions, technology in the
classroom, and student services. Geoff has been directly involved
as principal consultant on over 200 projects for more than
100 colleges and universities.
A highly respected lecturer for industry
seminars and association gatherings, Geoff has also published
numerous articles in telecommunications industry magazines
and journals.
